Literacy
ILP Goal: Caitlyn will look at the letter of the alphabet and make the representing sound.
Evaluation: Improver. Caitlyn is able to making the corresponding sounds to a, b, d, e, h, i, j, k, l, o, p, q, r, s, t, v, x, z.
Next Step: Caitlyn can learn the sounds of the remaining 8 letters and begin to make connections between these sounds and how to use them to decode a word.


Written Learning Goal:   Caitlyn will learn to write a letter.
Evaluation: Learner. Caitlyn has discussed her ideas and written her letters with assistance. Caitlyn has also continued to practice story writing through Colourful Semantics.  Caitlyn is able to choose a photo and with minimal assistance, correctly select the correct picture which explains who is doing what, where and when.
Next Steps: Caitlyn can continue to participate in the class literacy goal and keep working with Colourful Semantics to write stories.






Oral Language Goal: Caitlyn will learn to present a letter to an audience.
Evaluation: Beginner. Caitlyn practiced presenting her letter during writing time. She also presented her Colourful Semantics story to her teacher. Caitlyn was able to tell the story giving correct information.
Next Steps: Caitlyn presents her own news in a lively, enthusiastic way. She should continue to practice presenting her stories from writing so that she can grow some confidence with this skill.

Reading Goal: Levels 1-3.
Evaluation: Learner. Caitlyn continues to enjoy sharing books at this level.
Next Steps: Caitlyn enjoys taking her books home to share with her mother and should continue to do this.
