Goal: Cailtyn will learn to make a pattern.
Evaluation: Learner. By following the example of another, Caitlyn can make her own pattern using two different colours.
Next Steps: Cailtyn could make a pattern next that had more than 2 colours or used variety in a shape.


Goal: Caitlyn will learn about grouping numbers.
Evaluation: Learner. Caitlyn can take a set of counters and make a group of 5. She can look at a set of objects up to 4 and instantly tell you how many there are in the set.
Next Steps: Continue to keep working on identifying how many items in a group and making groups of numbers until she achieves 10.

Goal: Caitlyn will Learn about Fractions.
Evaluation: Learner. Caitlyn can identify halves by cutting an apple and other objects.
Next Steps: Cailtyn will continue to use real items to extend her knowledge to quarters.

Goal: Cailtyn will practice addition and subtraction skills.
Evaluation: Learner. Caitlyn uses counters and numicon to add and subtract, with support, in the range to 5. Cailtyn achieves this by joining groups and counting all, and separating groups and counting all to achieve an answer.
Next Steps: Continue to practice in the range to 5 to achieve some confidence with these activities.

Goal: Caitlyn will participate in statistical activities and language.
Evaluation: Caitlyn has learned about collecting data, displaying the date on various types of graphs and using the correct language to describe statistical mathematics.
Next Steps: Caitlyn will continue to learn more about maths with statistics and collating this information.

Goal: Caitlyn will learn about Geometry and Measurement.
Evaluation: Learner. Caitlyn has extended her knowledge of shapes and has learned more about tools used to measure, how to measure and record information. Below Caitlyn uses an octopus rule to measure the animal.
Next Steps: Caitlyn will extend her knowledge to use more conventional units of measurement.

Money
During Term 3 Caitlyn continued to practice real money skills by shopping with $2 at New World to purchase something that she had chosen which she could afford to buy. Caitlyn understood that she could only purchase items that added up to or below $2.
During term 3 and 4 Caitlyn has continued to practice using money in our class shop lessons and from ipad money apps that Caitlyn participated in. Cailtyn also enjoyed playing money bingo, which tested knowledge of identifying coins and notes. Caitlyn can identify coins and notes. This is dependent on Caitlyn's health at the time and if she is processing well. Caitlyn began working on matching prices to notes and coins.
