Evaluation: Caitlyn is an Improver. Caitlyn has engaged with an adult on tasks including alphabet, phonic activities, CVC words, and TEACCH activities. She has been working with the Speech Language Therapist (student) on the concept of a word and making the connection that the word can be written and spoken. During literacy time Caitlyn has taken her collection of word labels and after being read the label, attached them to the correct objects.
Next Steps: For Caitlyn this includes engaging in a literacy TEACCH activity, independently, and using clicker docs and writing for stories. Caitlyn will use a wider range of words for oral language and she will continue to extend the words she knows for reading.
Writing Goal: Caitlyn will use written words (clickerdocs)and visual language to describe her technology constructions.
Caitlyn is able to find adjectives, through discussion or from a word bank, to describe the technology she has achieved during literacy, and can write about and evaluate her creations.
Oral Language Goal: Caitlyn will use a descriptor when delivering news.
With encouragement and support, Caitlyn can use describing words to add detail to the news she shares in our class.
Reading Goal: Caitlyn will read level 3-5 books, participate in TEACCH, alphabet, and letter ID activities.
Caitlyn can use her understanding of the alphabet and letter sounds, along with interpretation of the illustrations in her book to read a story at Level 3.
